JOAN COROMINES CHAIR OF CATALAN STUDIES -
THE UNIVERSITY OF CHICAGO
The Department of Romance Languages and Literatures at the University of Chicago, in collaboration with the Institut Ramon Llull, invites applications for the Joan Coromines Visiting Professorship in Catalan Studies. The Department seeks a distinguished scholar or writer with demonstrated excellence in research and teaching. Fluency in both Catalan and English is expected. The visiting professor will be in residence at the University of Chicago for one quarter (11 weeks) during the academic year 2008-09, and will teach one course in any area of Catalan Studies.
Applicants should send a letter detailing their research and teaching interests, an updated curriculum vitae, and a brief description of the course being proposed. FONDATION DE LA FEDERATION INTERNATIONALE D'ASSOCIATIONS DE CATALANISTIQUE (Barcelone, 21 décembre 2006)
Six associations ont fondé la F.I.A.C. (L'Associació Internacional de Llengua i Literatura Catalanes, l'Anglo-catalan Society, l'Associazione Italiana di Studi Catalani, l'Association française des catalanistes, la North-American Catalan Society et la Deutscher Katalanistenverband).
Le siège social de la Fédération est implanté à l'Institut d'Estudis Catlans, Barcelone.
L'Association Française des catalanistes est membre fondatrice de cette Fédération.
